I mean, focaccia and salame or prosciutto is good. I think I would have cut the hot dogs (maybe less of them) in pieces and used them as topping though, with another pairing. Focaccias are good because of the texture too, and the hot dogs are weighing it down, not giving it much space to grow, and the bake must be a bit more un-even, than if one were to go with the alternative. (They must have released a ton of fat, which is good, (depending on the quantity of your salamoia) and moisture, not so much, and it can bog a bake down a bit, and be overwhelming.
