Once you understand that the hardest part of growing carrot is simply getting them to germinate you’ll find that carrots are one of the easiest things to grow in your garden! It’s all about keeping your seed moist at all times and I have just the trick for you! With loose soil you will be growing large carrots in no time.

Im so happy you mentioned containers as I have an entirely portable garden and everything is in containers/grow bags. Thank you for sharing this 🙂
have you thought about going full no-till no fork? You hit a point where you actually have to compact the ground.
You da man! 🥕
Thank you for this tip. I tried it this year (covering them up) and it worked so well!! I had so many more seedlings and an insane amount of carrots! 🥕🥕🥕
It’s so hott here (Alabama) that I have to water almost every day! Mine are in above ground beds! I will start more seeds at the end of the month for winter growth!
Thank you for this info!!! 🥕🥕🥕
My carrot seeds sprouted but never took off. I think I overwatered them

Any luck on your avo grafts ??I finally got one out of 10 to finally take ,🤞🙏
My dad used to mix with sand for better seed distribution. ❤✌️😊
All sprouted and were growing but a mouse 🐁 got of hold of them all 😢for me
The cardboard tech is so smart here in California definitely helps.

Aww sweet I can get free insurance for just growing carrots
Ok I'm doing this today👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I just spread two separate packs out in a space two weeks ago. I would estimate I have about a hundred to a hundred and fifty carrots growing! Although I don't know how they will grow, I got free compost from the city and filled to the beds. I hope it works, I know I should have amended it
Im ment to be sleeping but I’m watching how to grow carrots
Cardboard?! That is absolutely brilliant!!
You don’t have to thin them?
I'm hoping I finally have luck growing them this year! Definitely using the covering seeds trick 👍
Sounds like Mr. Slave. Lol love the video!
I’m pretty sure a producer I use has a beat that uses this same sample. But it’s a completely different type of beat. Also hoping to grow more carrots soon
I’ve always sucked a growing carrots but I’m gonna try them
one time we pulled a carrot so big it was the size of my head
I love all your tips, especially the seemingly small or simple ones. Thank you. I just ordered a bunch of seeds from Botanical Interests. Looking forward to receiving those!!
So this was our problem! Our very old garden is a monster for growing every plant except carrots it seems!! Turns out, there is a lot of clay in the soil, making it very thick and hard. I'll be sure to remember this for next year.
Can you do the cardboard trick with lettuce seeds?
Thank you!
Carrots are typically planted and stored on sandy soil
My ground doesnt lile carrots nor radishes. Not sure why, all the other root veggies grow their fine. So, several years ago, I stopped growing those 2 in the ground and started growing then in cardboard shipping boxes. Yes, I have cardboard boxes, with plants in them, scattered around my garden. 😁😂🤣
Those carrots look great. I’ll have to try covering with my seeds with cardboard the next time I plant them.
Thin thin thin
So when I can actually get soil ima just make a backyard into a whole garden bc my backyard has no soil just dirt
What type of 🥕… TY
Bet he’s doing more than eating those big carrots
i would try but I got no thumbs
Thank you so much. I tried to grow carrots with my kids this year and we grew little baby nubs instead. The kids still had fun though❤
Thnaks
I like to use a thin layer of hay.
The hay will dry out but the soil stays moist.
Happy gardening
My problem are ants not soil
And be ruthless about thinning sowing carrots too thickly can cause them to be small too.
Cheer~~~diminish or reduce in thickness toward one end.😊
