Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal on being sectioned by his wife and “triggered” by The Bear
Poor guy looks pretty unwell, and the crazy mofo was working 18-19 hours a day for 10 years.
He hasnt watched the bear yet, as he's fearful it may set him off, but glad he's getting mental health help

Who?
I’m nowhere near as great as him, but I could only watch “The Bear” while pacing because of how anxious I got and I had to pause every 5-10 minutes because I realized I was getting upset and holding my breath.
I think you mean 18-19 hours a *day,* not week
I got through maybe 10 minutes of The Bear before I realised I really don’t want to watch a show about my job lol
my boyfriend pointed out that all the chef and cook people he knows finds the Bear anxiety-inducing but The Menu cathartic. There were times I had to leave the room when watching the Bear and I’ll only watch it by myself now. The family shit makes it a double whammy
I can’t even watch an ad for the bear without getting flashbacks, there is no way I would last an episode.
Wow he’s changes
If youve read Ben Shewrys new book I believe Heston is the ping pong chef
Can someone tell me what “being sectioned” means?
It’s really funny most people I know who’ve never works in food service love the Bear and thought the menu was meh.
But even coming from a more casual restaurant it’s was very stressful to try and watch.
I thought The Bear was pretty cathartic, but I enjoyed my years on the line in extreme pressure situations. Reveled in it really.
I dunno y’all. I mean I get the family crap stressing people out from The Bear, but the kitchen stuff didn’t bother me at all. But I’ve never tried to turn a sandwich shop into a fine dining joint or had my KM shoot a gun at gang members outside. Maybe its just me
