You’re dealing with it better than I am, lol. I haven’t felt the inspiration to bake in weeks. Honestly it’s been hard to find joy in much of anything these days. It’s all so fucked up.

This is so relatable. When I’m in the kitchen, I generally have a cone of quiet or I’m jamming out to music. No news, no calendaring, no solving problems for someone else. I’m baking, cooking, or doing the dishes (or all three). The results are tangible and reasonably immediate.

I’ve found baking delicious things for people I love is a great way to feel like I am making a small difference in their day and it makes me feel better too.

Also me. Baked a tray of cornbread, then proceeded to eat the whole thing. I still feel empty inside.

I’ve found baking to be very stressful (I’m new) but it’s a stress I can control so yes, “this is fine” cause the bread was edible and that’s a win. Hang in there! The world needs level headed bakers.

Same. I just unsubscribed from all political subreddits and YouTube channels and am focusing on good vibes.

Some may call it putting my head in the sand, but I don’t feel like breathing all that toxic air when I could be breathing in the sweet aroma of fresh bread.

This is exactly the sort of dark humor I need right now.

I also need to get a loaf going tomorrow because this meme is correct. I can drown my anxiety in carbs.
