If it’s kept in a cool dry area it’s fine. You have a lot of natural acid, sugar and additional citric acid as preservatives, as long as theres no mold it’s edible. They last for many years especially refrigerated.

I’d give it a go with boiling water to be safe, should be able to tell by the smell if it’s dead though
LadySamSmash
I probably wouldn’t. If it was maybe 6 months, yeah, but we are talking years.
Also, the rule of thumb in our house, if you have to question its safety, then you probably shouldn’t consume it.

Colour does not look good, it looks way darker than it should be. If you want to, open and smell. If it smells good have a cup and pray for the best.

Not a fucking chance !

Yes. It’s basically jelly. I’ve got unopened jars of apple jelly from 8 years ago in my pantry. Perfectly safe.

유자차, right? It’s pretty much fruit jam so it can technically stay good for years, but if you’re able to buy another one pretty easily, I’m not sure I’d risk it. I mean, you obviously haven’t needed it for years, so why now when it might get you super sick? lol

eeehh it says best by instead of expires on so id say its probably safe

The sugar and acid has likely preserved this quite well. Discoloration can happen due to exposure to light, but won’t change the condition or taste.

I use common sense with food that’s past the “best by” date. If it looks fine and smells fine, I’ll eat it. This approach has yet to fail me.
I’m not sure this looks fine, though. As someone else already pointed out in this thread, it’s very dark. So, I wouldn’t risk it in this particular instance if I was you.

You should be fine, go ahead and give it a try.
Then respond here so we all know what happened.

If it doesn’t smell bad it’s fine.

while the drink itself may not be expired, the plastic that encases it definitely is.
codenameana
It’s watery jam.

I have an opened jar of this from 2020 and I still drink it with zero health problems. You’ll be fine.
