I’m in Canada and I haven’t seen this in any store yet. Being well aware of the story behind the issues they had with Huy Fong I’m wondering how it stacks up. Does it taste the same? Is it better? Worse? Spicier? Do you think it will replace the other on shelves and sell as much? Lots of questions.

If you can find Flying Goose, it’s phenomenal. Not as spicy, but a great garlic flavor profile.
Underwood is better
Underwood is a bit more spicy forward and vinegary. I like it. They’re the pepper suppliers of OG Sriracha
It’s good, but I don’t find it quite as good as Huy Fong. A little too much vinegar for me.
They are both good but different sauces so not really comparable imo. It’s not a replacement for huy Fong if that’s what you’re asking
A bit spicier than the HF, but less garlic
Underwood is more spicy and less thick compared to Huy Fong. They’re both obviously great sauces. I switch between both and overall pick Underwood most of the time.
I also like Underwood better.
I bought the Underwood and haven’t looked back. Their chili garlic is also delicious. Even their red jalapeño BBQ sauce tastes like something you’d find at a good BBQ place in Texas and it’s the only bbq sauce I’ll buy now if I’m not gonna make it myself.
Please support Underwood Ranch by purchasing their products. Thank you 🙏
It’s much better.
I’ve only had Huy Fong a handful of times but I found Underwood to be the best Sriracha I’ve ever had. Out of probably like 5 to 10 kinds, so I’m not an expert by any stretch…
I like it better. The whole debacle nudged me to look at other srirachas, and I am loving this journey. A mild, but tasty find was Tabasco Sriracha.
It has replaced HF in my families fridge. The Sambal is great too
A little better in my opinion, spicer, but has a brighter taste. Less salt.
Almost identical. Little more pepper forward inna good way
I finally found some at Costco. It is very reminiscent of old Huy Fong and the closest thing so far to that imo. Definitely try it out if you miss the old stuff.
