I have been on a strict calorie intake of around 1200 calories for a few months now, and managed to lose quite a bit of weight in that time (currently 5’2, 108lbs). I have been quite strict with myself over being healthier, trying to exercise at least once a week, reaching 10k steps most days, and for the most part staying under my daily calorie limit (bar a few visits to restaurants).
However, my friend asked yesterday if I would like to split a Subway Foot-Long Cookie with her, as she had wanted to try it for a long time, and we were meeting at a cinema with a Subway next door. I spent a few hours worrying over the calories and such, but eventually decided that one day of overeating wasn’t going to damage three weeks of no slip-ups.
Anyway, I ate half of the cookie, which came to 720 calories and, paired with my breakfast and dinner (and a cinema snack), amounted to about 1550 calories. This was far above my calorie limit of course, and slightly above my TDEE, but I’m here to tell you right now that it was 100% worth it! I had fun with my friend, and got to eat something that I really enjoyed.
Long story short, please please please understand that you can treat yourself sometimes, even if you’re on a calorie deficit. Whether it be something social, or simply something you want, it’s better to go slightly over your calorie limit than spend the day miserable. So long as occasionally doesn’t turn into mostly then it’s not even going to affect your weight loss in the long run 🙌

I’m currently eating a beef shawarma.
I’m so glad that you think it was worth it because for me the texture of it was a disappointment (both the first time and when I ordered it the next 10 times just to make sure 😅)
A healthy weight range for you is 104-135. When are you going back to maintenance?
EVERY TIME I’ve gone to subway they don’t have this 😭
These are one of my FAVOURITE treats. So good when they’re hot and gooey. Whenever i get one I have a bunch with a footlong sub for dinner then the rest for breakfast the next day. I’m desperate to try the new gingerbread one they’ve got on the UK Christmas menu.
