  1. For cranberries, I buy a bag of frozen berries. These are the most likely to have no added sugar or sweetener. I thaw them and keep them in a water-proof container in the fridge. I add about a half-cup to salads every day for kidney health.

  2. Your channel has so much content! I'm really grateful for the concrete ideas you give especially acknowledging cravings for crunchiness, smoothness etc You've definitely inspired me to include more seasonings in my food. I always look forward to hearing your suggestions.

  3. I got Covid early in 2022, a couple of months after getting my Covid Vacc. Go figure.

My taste buds were whacked and though I did not lose my sense of smell or taste, whatever I ate tasted horrendous.

At that time eating a salad was intolerable and knowing I needed my veggies I blended my vegs and then some, made a smoothy, and chugged it down.

I'm thinking that those who don't like 'eating' vegetables might want to blend and drink/chug it to gain the health benefits of consuming vegs.

  4. It's not only about eating more vegetables. It's also about being able to afford to buy more vegetables in this crashing economy.

  5. I add to my salad olives, pomegranate seeds, apples, pears, strawberries or any berries. In Middle East salad is daily food and variable.Beetroot’s, cabbages, raw or steamed., sprouted mong beans sprouted green lentils

  6. As a kid I ate everything my mom put on our plate vegetables balance meal from back in the '50s nope junk food I used to get annoyed at her and everybody else has got potato chips but we're not having potato chips or soda so whether they couldn't afford it or they just said hey it's not good for you to this day I eat everything and if I go somewhere to eat the first thing I look at is where's the vegetables which I'm trying to vegetable are they steamed

  7. Dr. Liu, how can I learn to like veggies as I am a super taster and cannot abide bitterness in many of them. It doesn’t matter how they are cooked. They still taste horrible and make me literally vomit from the taste. I’m 65 and have had this problem my entire life. When I’ve talked to doctors over the years, as soon as I tell them I’m a super taster, they’ve either never heard of it or they just shrug their shoulders and say they can’t help me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! πŸ’•

  8. I have a package of seaweed wraps in my cupboard and I can't remember why I bought them, but the salad wrap looks yummy!

  9. I’ve seen that video. My cheap food chopper got tossed and is now contributing to global warming. I guess I get what I paid for. I’m sorry for not being as responsible as the 1%.

  10. I love it. She’s giving that dietitian some nutrition tips πŸ˜‚ just because a food label says it’s healthy didn’t mean it is. I saw major conflicts of interest between the education and food industries and didn’t feel right going to school for dietetics. The patient meals in the β€œnot for profit” hospitals are atrocious.

  11. I love your suggestion about a couple of ways to eat salad, with the red bell peppers bowls and the seaweed. I am going to try it tomorrow. πŸ™‚
