Hello everybody! I purchased my new to me Traeger a few months back and finally had the time to smoke some meat yesterday.
I did some pork spare ribs I got on sale at the Costco business center for $15. I figured if I messed them up, I was only out $15, lol. I did the 3-2-1 method that I read was beginner friendly. I lurked a bit on this subreddit for took some tips and tricks too.
I was pretty excited how they turned out. I made some mac n cheese to go with them too.
The pictures are in order from beginning to end – first moments on the grill, after 3 hours, 2 hours after foil and back on the grill, after the last hour on with a mop sauce I made up on the fly, after rest and then my dinner plate!
If I can figure out to how to upload a video, I’ll post it in the comments.
How do you think I did!?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

Looks really good, but let’s focus on the more important:
You had a Traeger for a few months before you did your first cook?!
Where the Hell are your priorities?!
Why do my spare ribs always have chewy lil tube things when I eat them? Is it fat not rendering or am I not trimming right?
