    recipe:

    1. in a medium sized pot, cook down a large diced onion and canned or fresh tomatoes. i used canned tomatoes.
    2. add water as needed, and mix in as much gochujang as your heart desires.
    3. i waited for the onions to soften to immersion blend the soup. if you don’t have an immersion blender, you can throw it into a regular blender, just let it cool first.
    4. once blended, add a few spoonfuls of butter and some soy sauce. that’s all there is to it!

on the side, i torched some leeks and tomatoes. i also made some lo mein noodles to throw in there. but that’s optional!

I can see this as a great springboard for variations! Don’t know why I never thought of using gochujang!

I have no idea what that is.

I’m not a fan of tomato soup.

    THAT LOOKS AMAZING!

Wow very interesting presentation. I bet it was amazing.

  7. Gonna try this out. I might roast the tomatoes and onions and add garlic and then put it in a pan with the gochujang. Such a great idea! I’ve been craving kimchi grilled cheese too.
