Don’t know much about charcuterie boards but is this really worth $1,400?

I did one that was on a 6ft table and I spent maybe $250. It wasn’t as full but it had a good variety of stuff and it was as wide as the table

After that $700 fuckery board I saw floating around with the veggie platter a month back I would THINK this would be more than 1,400 Tbh

    17.50 per person ,,, doesn’t seems to crazy .

I’ve done the same for 3x the cost

Edit* I spent over 1.5k on cheese and everything and it took over two hours to make

  5. It looks great but is so thoroughly impractical for large groups. You can’t get to anything without touching something else.

All that waste is the result of style over substance.

Rule of thumb with catering, and restaurants too is you charge 3x the cost of food. For some event locations, that can go as high as 5x to 6x for catering.

So, yes I can definitely see the actual cost being $467 for purchasing the food. But then it needs to be prepped, stored, shipped, displayed, broken down, cleaned up.
