Bought this off Walgreens for $13 because it was late night and the walgreens is steps away from my house their selection is pretty shit in general so figured I’d give it a try. It tastes like there’s a freaking pound of sugar blended in. Horrible.

get gallo cab sav next time you are in the grocery store if you want to implement the homer-bart meme

There’s a reason why the two silhouettes on the label look like they’d be at home on a pair of mud flaps.

I remember them being better years ago, but there’s no good wine ever sold in a Walgreens

One of my new favorite things to do when people tell me that the wine they buy at Walmart/Walgreens/Kroger gives them a headache is to low key look it up on the LCBO website and check the sugar content. This fine fellow clocks in at 12g/l

Still not as extreme as Meiomi’s 20g, but pretty damned sweet for a “dry” red. It’s definitely something that I keep in mind while making recommendations to customers.

  5. Hate the wine, but I dig the tat. I’ve got Thurs on my wrists 🤘🏻

Haven’t had it in years, but remember it being drinkable. Their midnight blend was better, IMO.

Just a pro tip:if you see the wine in every fucking store, end cap, and gas station…its probably crap. The real good wines are the ones you don’t see advertised. Look at your weekly grocery sales ad for a few months and see what wines are constantly advertised. Then go to the store and see which ones they have that aren’t advertised. Its those that will be better.

This is the kind of thing I imagine people mean when they say they like sweet reds

I went through a phase when I was about 21 where I thought this was pretty good. Maybe the last time I had it was around 26…taste buds have changed A LOT since

  10. Pretty bad wine but as a college student I definitely drank more than a few times

My mom exclusively drinks this and Meiomi. And I wonder why I never liked red wine growing up

  12. I remember being disappointed by a ménage-a-trois before. The wine too.

If you’re ever stuck at a drug store or other limited selection place, go for a red from Chile or Spain. They’re not as horrible.

The clue for me would have been the words “red blend”…

My college roommate would always brag that she “only likes fine wines, like Menage a Trois.” Even back then when I knew NOTHING about wine, I knew she was a complete idiot.
