Has anyone had success with something like this? I have a hotspot on my pitboss and currently rotate food for long cooks and cook off to the side.

Yes, they work well. I have one on my PitBoss 850 Pro Series and it has been a game changer. It makes the heat much more even. Everything I make now comes out better without getting overdone. I have the 4 window flame tamer.
Austin xl and I’ve got the original flame tamer and it definitely helps even the temp out.
I didn’t know all pellet grills didn’t already come with this
I bought the original flame tamer for my Pit Boss 850 Pro Series and it definitely makes a difference.
