I committed to smoking a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. This is my first Midwest winter and I was a bit worried. I experimented with this improvised snake method and after a couple of pork loin testers, I'm feeling pretty confident.

    Way too many wood chunks and 4 or 5 will do nothing as the ribs will stop taking smoke before they are lit.

    Please don’t use that much wood for turkey breast. Turkey really absorbs the smoke. A little goes a long way. 3 apple chunks was too much last time for my smoke.
