My boyfriend and I loved the food truck and have been intending to try the brick and mortar since it opened and it's so close to our house. Finally had a reason to go today with my parents in town and finishing up a lot of house projects.
We got there about 4, ordered our food about 5:30/6. My dad got the last order of cauliflower and a few other items were already out. I had the steak frites which was delicious, but it did take a bit from when we ordered and got the other three meals to get. We all had something different for dinner and enjoyed it all/was worth the wait. We shared three of their desserts, the banana pudding tiramisu, German chocolate something, and the pecan ice cream. The tiramisu was a mild sweet, the pecan ice cream was a standard sweetness, and the German chocolate was very sweet, too sweet for my liking.
While we were finishing up our desserts the owners got a little Michelin man. Pictured is LeRoy (we think). Congrats to them!
What bothered me was there were clearly quite a few people in line that were there solely because of the Michelin Star, some even gave up when they looked at the menu. Even though the line was long the good part was they had employees taking and delivering drink orders while you wait. Given when they order and start preparing their food, the wait should hopefully get better now that they know they're busier because of the Michelin Star. LeRoy mentioned today was their busiest day ever and yesterday had been their busiest before that. They started turning people away about 6:30 because they were out of a lot of things.
