I use an electric deli slicer with a serrated blade to do the same thing. Best way ever to consistently slice thin slices of bread.

I own a small home kitchen deli slicer and it does a really good job giving me even slices. I’m sure this is a lot cheaper if this is all you need, but a deli slicer works for a lot more stuff. We use it almot daily to cut slices of bread I bake throughout the week.

I don’t know where OP is; but I looked up the price for it in Canada and on Amazon it’s over 300$. Cool gadget; but I’ll stick to my tried and true bread knife.

I’m so impatient that I’d be trying to figure out a way to hook up my power drill to it by the third slice

This person’s thumb placement gives me anxiety.

You can make any blade look amazing on video. All you have to do is use it on day old bread. I bet it doesn’t look so amazing when it is fresh out of the oven.

So unnecessary

I have a bread knife. Unless it can save time by cutting all at once, mine is way better.

A rube Goldberg machine for something that can be easily done with a knife.

In Germany they use it so much. But Germany is “the bread country” in the world. So big variety

It’s not nearly as pretty, but the manual starfrit deli slicer is very satisfying and costs 1/10th as much!

Toast a slice or two up, add lashings of butter, tiny pinch of salt to taste with a cupp-a-tea and that’s me in heaven!

As someone who grew up in Germany I’m surprised how hype the comment section is, lol

Nobody gonna comment that this is a disguised add ?

Hey slicer… let’s speed-up the process. There’s ONLY 24 hours in a day!

I’ll stick with the serrated bread knife.

It’s a single use gizmo that is not even faster than the alternative. It just looks interesting, but it’s a guaranteed dust collector, like so many single use appliances.

It’s lovely but takes up too much room. I got a great bread knife on Ali express that will last forever it’s sharp as hell.

I just KNOW this would annoy me to use. With where the handle is placed, there’s a high probability the handle catches on the sliced bread as it’s coming out. I don’t think it could handle bread that’s any longer than the one in this video
