Has anyone had any luck finding this year's Beaujolais Nouveau at grocery stores? I went to the Jewel and Mariano’s near me, but it wasn’t there. Before I go all over town looking for it, I was wondering if anyone had any insight. I'm in the Ukrainian Village area and would prefer not to drive too far to find it.

If you end up having to drive, try giving Bottles Up a call and see if they have it.

  2. Anybody know where to find Beaujolais Nouveau that ISNT Beefy George? Always wanted to try from other producers, but seems to be a monopoly

Call Gene’s Sausage Shop in Lincoln Square. They don’t have the biggest wine selection but they might have this.

Does it usually hit U.S. stores on the same day as in France? I can’t recall.

I don’t understand people infatuation with this stuff. I always thinks it thin wine and bland.

I know nothing about that wine in particular but All Together Now carries a lot of Beaujolais. Try going there and asking. Their staff is super knowledgeable

Not sure if they have it yet, but Trader Joe’s usually carries it.

  8. In stock at Binny’s Lincoln Park. For the future, the LP Binny’s is their “wine superstore,” has a massive selection.

Just saw it at Mariano’s but way up here in Lake County

Binny’s South Loop has it. All Binnys have it. South Loop also has Pierre-Marie Charmette Nouveau.

I assume LP has it, as well. Maybe Bucktown and Lakeview.

Vin Chicago on Elston is tasting it today. Bought a bottle about an hour ago. Also unsponsored ad for Vin – store rocks. They do some really fun wine dinners too.

Agora has had previous vintages but Binny’s seems like a more sure move

Nouveaus arrive today at Binny’s. I’m heading to LP after work.

Trader Joe’s probably has the best price? All stores can legally start selling them on the 21st. This is because these wines are “young” wines and are aged for about 3 months. The grapes are picked at the end of the growing season and is like a celebration of the end of the harvest.

I just saw a ton of this on display at Andersonville Wine & Spirits yesterday.
