Absolutely incredible food. Definitely one of my favorite BBQ spots. The pomegranate BBQ sauce is amazing

We went for the first time a few weeks ago. The sides, the ribs, and the lamb were absolutely fantastic, maybe the best BBQ I’ve had. But the brisket was maybe one of the worst I had. Tasteless and drier than the Sahara desert. Yours looks MUCH better though, so I guess we just got unlucky.
Damn, like two months ago I got a 1/4 lb brisket and mac to-go, to finally try KG – and the brisket was incredible, so maybe it’s wildly inconsistent. Certainly not dry looking like in other photos. And the pickled onions that came on the side were phenomenal.
I love this place. The rice bowls are my favorite but you can’t go wrong. I also think that the brisket is great though. Not something I’d shy away from. I’ve never had a bad day or a bad menu item here.

Definitely going against the grain but I wasn’t that impressed. It was good, just not worth the wait and the price imo.
I know food prices are skyrocketing, but charging $8 for a cucumber salad is kinda crazy.

I love how good the flavors are of the BBQ here, however I firmly believe BBQ should be affordable (so you can get full before you get broke) so this place is so weird to me for that reason. I would guess this plate cost at a bare minimum, $48. You can tell it’s being weighed at 1/4 lb increments because off how small that brisket slice is, which tells me to expect the pricing to be at a minimum, what $38 a pound? I enjoyed a comparable (in flavor and quality) Brisket plate in rural Texas for $12.99 over the weekend, thus paying $35-48 a lb for BBQ here in Austin is painful. Maybe if we stop calling it “BBQ” but instead call it “James Beard-B-Q” or something I can get behind it and better fathom the pricing that comes with this.

I liked their take on mac & cheese too.
Not a great pic but you can tell it’s moist AF.
