Sigh. My assistant tried a new technique today, doesn't seem to affect the rise positively though. The towel on the bowl is really the only thing that made this cat foot bread salvageable. Pictures of the assistant included, shame unfortunately not included.

Recipe in case anyone wants to replicate. 75g starter, 330g water, 500g flour, 9g salt. About 6 hours into things have 1 recalcitrant cat step onto the towel covering the bowl and then glare at you for your audacity of making bread.
A much better outcome than what I expected based on the first pic
That looks just like….
Bread dough that’s been poked by a cat’s paw.
Nothing else.
The cat was just trying to show off their biscuit kneading technique! Unfortunately, it kneaded a replica of its butthole. Must send that naughty kitty back to baking school! A+ for effort, a$$hole recreation, and cute kitten
lol, love the sequence of pictures.
Looks like a Friday night (I like to bake)
“AND I’LL DO IT AGAIN”
Last time I dried out some starter for emergency recovery, I noticed a little paw print on it after a few hours. So I guess if I need to recover Carter the starter, I’ll get a little bit of Shitty the kitty with it.
Teehee, butthole
