It’s my first time making a cake and I don’t know if I am made for this. I learned so many things that I did wrong , I realized how much I messed up making this cake but at the same time do I even have the talent to try again or just give up. How was everyone else’s first time making a cake ?

If it’s your first time ever, that is not enough to tell if you should continue or not, on the other hand, even if you weren’t talented you shouldn’t give it up if it makes you happy. I think you are talented though! My one thing would be to use less of the non-edible decorations. One or two is ok, but the amount you have used here makes the cake feel cluttered IMO. Also looks like you need thicker frosting. I think you should keep practising! you can’t give up right at the beginning of the learning process, and you definitely have potential! I hope to see more of your cakes posted here in the future!!
Yes to both of your questions! 🙂 Keep doing it if you enjoy it.
A solid neat buttercream frosting will be great to achieve! So keep practising on that using the right tool.
As well as using foam tape + extra plain Cardstock backing for any ‘paper’ elements on the side (so u can avoid those wet stains, plus more hygienic without any ink touching the cream).
Or u could try using edible icing image (for the suspenders) next time instead, no backing required.
