Stunning and addictive nose, overlay of fresh dough, port and green apple, plum skins and maybe gooseberry. Brioche and a touch of rose on the tongue. Despite its 36 years, the attack is still lively with brisk acidity and fine and surprisingly present mousse.

Clearly past its prime but still delicious, addictive and magnificent. On an absolute scale scale 87 to drink but 98 on the nose and 94/95 if based on history and emotion.

Beautiful! What is the glass you’re using out of interest? – looks lovely.
