This might not be the greatest culinary achievement but I’m proud! The apple pie came out delicious, I made it for thanksgiving.
I used Sally’s recipe for the pie https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/apple-pie-recipe/ and then used her all butter pie crust recipe https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/all-butter-pie-crust/ . I wanted to make the home-made pie crust but I didn’t trust my shortening since it’s been opened in my cupboard for quite some time. I also made 21? little artisan rolls at the same time (not pictured).

Thoughts and prayers for my thumb would be appreciated. It was a victim to the mandoline. The fingertip didn’t slice off completely but freaking hecky man that shit might as well have. Had my boyfriend finish slicing the apples and he bought me one of those cut resistant gloves. I have been banned from using the mandoline without the gloves.
