Returning this and would like a real chamber sealer. What do you guys recommend? Really sick of this as I sous vide very often.

I’ve had my food saver brand from Costco got over 10 years. Zero issues.

This thing is trash, my bags never stayed sealed. Went back to a foodsaver after selling mine.

I use a cheap one from amazon. Was maybe £25, had it for 2 years now with no issue

I’ve had this same one for about a year with no issues, knock on wood.

I have that model. It replaced my first vacuum sealer of the same type. When this one dies, I’m getting a chamber vacuum sealer.

Mine failed after about 4 months. Anova CS is a joke (totally ignore voice mails and phone calls). I bought a cheap InkBird that’s working fine so far. I’ll NEVER buy another Anova item.

I bought the smallest vacmaster (v112?) about 13 years ago and it’s still going strong. One unappreciated “pro” is that the bags are so much cheaper, which adds up over time and increases use/utility.

Biggest con is that it’s a beast and takes up a ton of counter space. So much so that my spouse bought me an Anova last Christmas and said “look honey, this one works with liquids too so we don’t need that big one on the counter”. Obviously the Anova got returned.

My foodsaver has been working amazingly for 7 years now.

I’m having an issue with mine and it’s under a year old. Nuts.

Avid Armor has both vacuum sealers and chamber vacs. We got an Avid Armor vacuum sealer when we got tired of replacing the cheaper units. Had it for 4 years and it’s still going strong. It’s much more durable and has a 5mm sealing bar which helps ensure no leaks.

Glad I’ve never bothered with Anova. At first I was a little embarrassed to buy the cheap/off brand.

Now, not so much. I’ve been using my generic sous vide cooker and cheap (food saver) vacuum sealer with no problems for three years now.

Glad I never spent on crappy Anova.

Anova has a chamber sealer now. Pretty cheap vs. Vacmaster. Hope someone here has it, as I’d like to know if it’s any good.

I have this exact same one. I upgraded to this model because my old one died in less than 2 years (same brand). My bags don’t stay sealed unless I hit “Seal” twice or thrice.

I purchased the Wevac CV12 from Amazon a few months ago (it’s on sale right now) and it is a game changer for me! I always used FoodSavers prior to this. Chamber sealers are so much easier to use; I wish I had made my purchase sooner.

I recently bought the Anova chamber. I don’t know if it’s user error or the machine is faulty but I can’t get the bags to seal in one go. I have to fidget with the position of the bags to get it to seal properly

LEM through Costco, saved $350 over direct from LEM. 2 years so far and 750 or so bags. Still going strong.
