So I got my Traeger Ironwood about 2 months ago. Now am I enjoying the smoked foods? Absolutely. But it has had headaches – super smoke I don’t trust … lots of high high temp issues where it should be 225 but grill is 300+ (and I understand that super smoke will be a little higher due to how it works but not that high).

Usually my issues or high temps bs what it should be. Until now.

I got my ThermoWorks RFX about a week ago. Today as I’m doing a ham I decided to try the air probe it comes with.

But now my air probe is showing that the grill temp is way off too?

I’m not too sure what to trust with this grill now.

Is this common?

Same issues except my Ironwood 650 shows a temp of 30° higher than my MEATER probe’s ambient temp reading.

my pro series 34 thermometer is absolute junk. It has never worked accurately, it’s not even close. Get a ThermoPro or something

I just had the same issue comparing my RFX to my Traeger temps, Traeger is reading 50 degrees higher! Explains why my brisket took 3 hours longer than it should’ve
