Drank this 2016 with a few other la Rioja alta bottles a few weeks ago and it was really flat and dull, waste of money.

Are these prices in USD? If so, I’d say very good deals but not shocking. Several producers carry the Vajra Albe at or even a bit under $30, though the WS attention for the ’20 vintage may well push the price a bit for a time. $37 matches wine-searcher low pricing for the Ardanza. Both are excellent wines from excellent vintages though, and with the threat of tariffs looming, stocking up on a few of each at those prices would be a perfectly reasonable plan.

The 2019 alberdi is drinking so good right now, for me it is even beating the ardanza.
