Come with me to the most popular restaurant at Disney World- Ohana! Located at the Polynesian Resort this family style restaurant is a family favorite, but does it still live up to the hype?

GO DISNEY GO!!! What a feast at Ohana, great food, service and atmosphere!
Ohana has been a go to for us as well for many years. My wife and I were there last week and at at Ohana and we were disappointed. The noodles weren't as good as they used to be, the chicken isn't the chimichurri chicken any more and it's not as good, the steak was just OK and the shrimp were bland. The bread was fantastic as usual and the bread pudding was very good, although not as good as Sebastian's Bistro's bread pudding. Biergarten is my new favorite followed closely by Boma. I hope Ohana returns to its previous glory but I'm not holding my breath.
I tried the France restaurant in Epcot. Worth every 200 $ the food was amazing n it make you full
Ohana was a letdown. The noodles are worse than mall Chinese food. The only decent things are the singer and the grilled chicken and the pot stickers. The sauce that the steak comes in is very good to dip everything in.
Def not worth it. Ohana use to be great but now the quality has gone down hill. They used to offer a grilled chicken breast, turkey breast, sausage and pork loin but now they only serve chicken thighs with the bone in shrimp and steak. That usually is all grizzle in fatty.
Love your Maui shirt
$62 in addition to the cost of drinks, tax and tip is a weeks worth of groceries !!!!
We ate at Ohana last week for the first time since pandemic and will likely never return. It was just so disappointing. It was an old favorite of ours that we hit on every trip down. I am thinking of trying Sebastian’s Bistro next trip as our Ohana substitute. Have you been there?
We had the noddles, potstickers and wings at Tambu Lounge in December. They were delicious! I wish I could share the picture here… I do miss Ohana for Dinner but we stopped going to Ohana about 8 years ago because it was too pricey.
We ate at Ohana for the first time about a week ago. It was divine! Absolutely loved it! We did have yhe dining plan, so the price tag was worth it!
One of the worst dinners I have ever had on property.. My bestie said the food smelled like "new car" and she was right. So gross.
The breakfast is still amazing.
Young Kids should eat free

Husband and I went right before Covid and we really enjoyed the food but we could not eat enough to justify the cost (and I can eat A LOT). We've eliminated all the family style and buffets from our must-do lists.
We used add more magic to automatically find and book our reservation. And its free unless they 100% book it for you.
Thanks for the tip about the Tambu Lounge Kristen. There's no way my wife, and I could eat $124 worth of food, but we would definitely enjoy a sampling of O'hana's delectables. We will surely visit the Lounge on our upcoming January trip to Disney. BTW, I see that the lounge doesn't have the noodles on their menu now. Maybe if I grovel a little they will feel sorry for me, and bring out a bowl just to stop me from whining. 😀
Ohana was the best restaurant on property, with the amazing service and incredible food, unfortunately both the service and food quality has dropped, still ok but not in the top list for me anymore
I prefer breakfast here, I can't do dinner unless I have 4 or more people just too much food for dinner
The need to plate the meat on one large plate.
Is the chicken burnt?
just ate at that restaurant at New Orleans/Riverside resort. that AYCE plate was bangin' with brisket, sausage, ribs, etc. for $36! didn't know they even HAD an AYCE offering Anywhere at WDW anymore for under $55.
Excellent review and information! Thank you.
Great vid. Sorta miss that charm it used to have and those skewers….nonetheless it still looks great.
I leave there in pain from eating too much. It is good and we enjoy relaxing after a long day at the park and just eating.
Ohana is a great meal and still worth the price. We try and go every other trip, aka: once a year. If you have never been before it is a great experience, if you are comparing it to when it first opened or even 5-10 years ago it is not as good as then. I miss the skewers and basically the show of eating there. hoolahoops and coconut races for the children. Just a super great time for kids and adults but there is still enough to be entertained.
I miss the caramel pineapple dessert and even the short lives shaved ice desert. I also miss when there were 5 meats on skewers; Turkey and sausage in addition to the steak, chicken and shrimp. Some of the flavors seemed to have tamed since the pandemic as well but maybe that is just me. I think they tamed down the whole thing (as they have at a number of the food places at Disney over time) to appeal to a wider range of folks tastes. Like you, I still recommend highly especially if you are celebrating
The only time I've had struggles with getting a reservation has been for breakfast. Ive always been able to snag reservations for dinner, just maybe not for the exact time that we wanted.
Yeah, can't see me going back there with what they're currently offering. Full disclosure, I was never the biggest fan of it, and honestly thought it was over-rated. The noodles I thought were fine as were the meat skewers and bread pudding (best portion of the meal, I thought) but I can get the pudding and noodles at the lounge if I want. For me, if I'm spending over $60 a meal then I REQUIRE a table side Mickey or Goofy visit. For that matter the breakfast at O'Hana's I preferred, but again back when they were doing the 🥥 races and such-super cute. Plus only meal w/Lilo and Stitch. Definitely not worth the 💵 now.
When I go to Ohana I ask for a skillet of only Potstickers those things are so good
For the real "Disney Springs" Experience just go to Winter Park near Rollins College. 10 times better food and atmosphere for about 2/3rds the price.
The quality of O'hana really seems to depend on who is working that day. I also feel like when they have bad management, the quality of the food and service go down. There is truth in the say "you can tell the mood of the cook by how the food comes out". As long as they have a decent manager, that doesn't piss off the employees, O'hana's is fire.
The waitress took it upon herself to put the sweet sauce on your dessert? Wow. What if the person did not want all that sweet sauce on it but only just a bit of sauce
If I was a head chef I would make sure everyone gets their stomachs full with a dessert on the house with no charge all customers that’s how you get customers back when the owners communicate with the customers and all goes well. I would make sure that whatever needs the customer requested we would accommodate them all the way free of charge that’s how you grow consumer base and in return make profit because people believe in your business and operations. I also would give costumers a option to choice what side and meat they want but also give extra for a charge of 1.00 per meat because I love the middle class and everyone else as well so we all can live the life we want😊.
Great job describing everything! Bring back those skewers!! 😀
I went to Ohana multiple times in 1994 when it opened. The food and the service made it my favorite restaurant by far. I went back to Ohana in 2014. The food and the service made it my most despised restaurant by far. It is almost the opposite of what it was when it opened. Pure overpriced garbage.
(edit): I can't understand how anybody could have had a positive experience at Ohana since 2014, and probably long before that. I think most people would rather delude themselves than admit they wasted time and money.
Yes. That ukulele player has been there for years and years! I love it!!!
There are better value options!
Ohana dinner is worth it….. Ohana breakfast is trash though.
It's so sad how Disney has gone down hill… breaks my heart.
use to be 50 and yes its worth it
