My mom received this bottle sometime in the 90s and then proceeded to store it high on a wine rack in an unconditioned house instead of opening it and enjoying… it was past its prime :(

There’s only one way to find out. Crack it open and try it. Maybe give it an hour to decant, and have another bottle of something in case it’s bad.

3 cheers to you for actually trying it instead of asking us what it’s worth.

What a bummer. I’ve been surprised by bottles before, but it sounds like the odds of this bottle surviving were slim.
Was there any life at all or was it totally dead?

Neat to see this. We just visited their vineyard in St Emilion a month ago, and did a tasting.
