Very solid line-up to enjoy with friends.

1985 Sassicaia was very good — typical menthol and eucalyptus edge with a core of tasty “blue and purple” fruit. Still drinking very well with full resolution.

Lots of good stuff that night. Yes it’s all about the grower Champagne but Dom with some age on it is very tasty, don’t pretend like you’re above it people.

Screagle was served blind and blinded as “cult Napa Cab”, so we were right on the money there … more elegant than you’d think.

T’was a weak Monty as far as Montys go but still perfectly fine.

Chave is the best, almost always.

The Moose was fantastic.

‘01 Musigny is one of my favorite wines I’ve ever tasted, in the top 5, I’d say. It was by Vogue, not Drouhin. What were your thoughts?

WOW. If this isn’t a flex, I don’t know what is!

Tons of amazing stuff here, but I could probably die happy if I could drink that ‘89 Chave Hermitage.

85 Sassicaia might be my favorite wine ever….but tons of bottle variation as well…
