What the title says, these things are suspiciously cheap, like half the price of any other jars I can find in the area, has anybody used them, and are they any good?

Not sure where you are located but you can usually find the quart size Ball mason hats at Walmart for around $16. Sometimes they go on sale for $2-$3 cheaper depending on the size.

Not sure where you’re located, but right at this very minute Ball quart jars are $13.44/dozen at Walmart and on [walmart.com](http://walmart.com), with free shipping on orders over $35.

They are also $13.49 just on the shelf at Target near me.

You might want to look around a bit more rather than buy an off brand since they are more expensive than the name brand jars. I never pay as much as $15/dozen jars, that seems spendy to me.

Anchor Hocking jars are fine, they’re a reputable company with a long history.

TSC normally marks down once the season is over. Walmart does too to some extent. Take to deal and don’t look back!

I have a bone to pick with Anchor Hocking quart jars. With Ball and Kerr, one quart of liquid goes to the neck, the line below the lid, which leaves a half inch or so of headspace. With Anchor Hocking quart jars, one quart of liquid goes to the very brim, right at the top of the finish. I’d like to be canning one full quart of stock per jar. Can’t do that with Anchor Hocking.

I got some this season. They’ve all sealed so far! Haven’t had any problems yet.
