How to Check Spices for Adulteration I #Shorts I Pankaj Bhadouria

Are your spices as pure as they should be?
Spice up your knowledge with these simple tricks to check for adulteration in turmeric, cumin, red chilli powder, asafoetida & black pepper.
Here’s how you do it!
1. Real Chilli Powder will firstly float on water then will gradually settle to the bottom, meanwhile fake one will immediately come to the bottom.
2. Real Turmeric will float on water first, then will slowly come to the bottom and will give a light yellow colour, meanwhile, the adulterated one will directly come to the bottom and will give a sunflower yellow colour to the water.
3. If you’ll rub Cumin seeds into your hands, it will come clean & your hands won’t get dirty and if it leaves black residue then it is adulterated.
4. Real Black Pepper will settle in bottom and the adulterated one will float on water.
5. Real Asafoetida will get burn easily and if doesn’t get burns then raisin is mixed in it.
