How long do you keep the gas going on the coals? and how long do u let the coals heat up after that?

Little Weber performer tip… I once ran out of propane to light the coals. At that moment I realized I had no charcoal chimney. I used the six pack method where I loaded an empty beer six pack holder with briquettes and lit the cardboard on fire to light them. Worked slow but well. Just for when you get in a pinch. Now I keep like 6 little propane tanks around at all times

I’ve had my Performer since 2012. Same bronze color. It’s got battle scars but I absolutely love it. Need to replace the ash sweeper and considering replacing the tabletop. Mine has the original plastic top but I’d much prefer the metal one
