I meant to order 6 bananas and got 6 bunches. What am I supposed to do with 36 bananas?
Any ideas? Is there something I can make with this that’s easy and doesn’t require a lot of work/buying a ton of new ingredients? Should I give it to a food pantry? I’m a household of 1 I can’t possibly eat 36 bananas lmao

Just let em ripen to your preferred level and stick ’em in a freezer. Or smoothies, pancakes or bread. Use them as toppers in Yogurt or oatmeal.

For this reason I have a permanent note set in Instacart that says “I only want six bananas”.
The other answers are great. Ripen, peel, cut up and freeze for smoothies is the best long term use. Over ripen and use for banana bread. Chocolate dip and freeze for summer treats.
Rathemon
freeze them great for smoothies – peel them first!

Here are some options:
* banana bread * caramellised bananas with yoghurt * banana milkshake * you can add banana with meat and make it savoury (not everyone likes it though) * banana cream (sweet, to put it on bread) * banana ice cream

I’d peel the extra ones you’re not going to eat right away and store them in the freezer. You can use them for smoothies, banana breads or muffins.
