Beautiful 35° Saturday evening to smoke Wings for the Ducks game tonight. Wings: Half with Meat Church Lemon Pepper rub and the other half with Husky & Handsome Midnight Smoke rub with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce. Wings were a hit!

Strange question, but how far below your top grate is the top of your vortex? I have a 22in grill and medium vortex, and the top of my vortex is almost level to the grate. (So much so that any charcoal above the vortex hits the center of the grate.)
I see a lot of set ups where it looks like the vortex is quite a ways below the grate.
