i wanted it to be more red 😅 the store i went to only had jalapenos so i used 4 and kept the seeds. id say it's medium heat. i also added cilantro and lime juice. how can i make the color actually red though?

12 roma tomatoes, 4 jalapeno, a whole white onion, 3 garlic cloves, cilantro and lime juice. salt and pepper

Nice start! Regarding the red color, that typically takes using dried chiles like arbol and guajillo. I’d also recommend removing the seeds/ribs from your peppers and peeling the garlic, but that’s just me. Make sure you season with salt/msg and maybe even some light herbs as well!

Blend everything (peel those garlic cloves). Heat canola oil in a pan. Add the blended salsa. Bring to a light boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 min. The salsa will turn red while heating. Remove from heat and add salt.
