Impossible???

  1. Sure the area is bigger, but a pizza isn’t equally great all over, some parts being greater than others.

For some people they don’t like the crust-edge, so they’d be interested in how the crust-free areas compare.

For some people, the amount of pepperoni is key, so they’d like to know how the total amount on both compares.

lol, sure mate. That what they want us to believe.

  3. That’s simple mathematics, it has nothing to do with “impossible” or not.

Or why not just calculate in grams? Like a normal human

This is why you were made to study that math stuff in school.

  6. However, most places give you a larger discount when you get two mediums, allowing you the funds to get an additional 3” radius pie

My claim to fame is that I believe myself to be the person who came up with this groundbreaking discovery. It was actually something I asked my maths teacher about in school years ago! Still waiting for my Nobel Prize though…

    Proof(?) – [https://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/comments/4ofbn4/lpt_one_18_inch_pizza_is_more_pizza_than_two_12/](https://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/comments/4ofbn4/lpt_one_18_inch_pizza_is_more_pizza_than_two_12/)

If anyone can find an older source for this let me know!

This is the math of a single person without picky eating members in their house. Minimally less pizza but more options to satisfy whiny mouths wins over one option in my book.

The volume of a pizza with radius z and thickness a is…

    Pizza.

Yes, for surface area.. but, pizza restaurants do everything by weight. Our medium pizzas are 2″ larger than the small, but the dough ball is 4oz more and the cheese and topping weights are adjusted. From large to extra large, the diameter is 2″, and the dough ball is 2 oz more. Therefore, none of these area calculations matter when there’s inconsistent variables for the rest.

Quantifying pizza size is great and all but I thought there are only two sizes. Personal and group. The inch size varies, obviously.

I doubt the veracity of the math, because in the case of pizzas..,

    Pi are round, not r²

If this were true, then John King and his magic fucking wall showing all the uncounted votes in Atlanta would have made Kamala win. (/s)

Just get me a goddamn pizza you math athletes.

Areas are squares of their dimensions. 1.5 x width = 1.5^(2) x area, = 2.25 x area, which is more than 2 of the original.
