I took my wife to Dip Dip Dip Tatsuya for the omakase experience. We’ve never been to a shabu shabu restaurant before and didn’t quite know what to expect.

We started off with the small plate selection. The Seared A5 was the star of that part of the meal. And the lotus chips was packed with flavor.

The shabu shabu portion of the service was akin to a science experiment. As the course progressed, the shabu shabu broth became increasingly complex and flavorful. The duck was smoky and the duck fat candle was a unique addition. My favorite portion was the A5 that was sliced super thin and cooked in two swishes.

It was our first time there and my wife really enjoyed it. At $125 per person it was definitely worth it.
