It’s great in my state weed is legally prescribed. Don’t go catching a hippa violation now by infringing on my rights.

  2. devonthedweeb

you’ll find me in the walk-in eating all the cheese

Depends. Had a prep cook who came in higher than bald eagle pussy every service. One day though, he got his hands on a new strain he wasn’t ready for. Found that man in the walk-in stacking 5×6’s in a half pan to see how high he could make his tomato tower. Needless to say, we were slicing the T in LTOs to order for most of lunch.

I knew a guy named Bob who was the best fucking grill cook I’ve ever worked with, but he needed to be so high you couldn’t see his eyes. We would tell him to go into the cooler and get straight when he would start getting grouchy.

I wouldn’t be caught dead being high at work, that’s for after the shift. That being said, if you can do the job relatively the same high as you do sober, I couldn’t give a shit as long as the work gets done.

used to get speefed out of my gourd at my ice cream job it was like playing papas freezeria for 13$/hr not a bad gig at all

  7. Hillbillyblues

If you’re really short staffed, all hands are welcome. Plus a high cook is funny as hell.

  8. If I catch any of my coworkers clearly high or drunk during the shift I’m reporting that shit, already had too many problems with people like this who can’t be trusted in the kitchen and everything they do has to be checked like they are toddlers. If you are high but do your job like you always do sure thing go ahead idc about you. Maybe it’s because I’ve been sober for 5 years now but I tolerate less and less each day these behaviors and don’t see them funny at all.

Oh oops, did I “accidentally “ drop an xtra wing in the fryer lol

whenever I’m eating at a restaurant, I fully expect the line cooks to be high on weed, and the chef to be high on coke. that contrast is exactly what every productive kitchen needs

  11. Worked with a guy towards the end of the night we would tell him to go take a couple hits. He would come back like the Tasmania devil and have everything cleaned up in no time. Good times 😂

  12. Weedshits

Don’t know until after the guys been called in and the shift is over

  13. surreal_goat

Short staffed. Stoned employees are so unpredictable and generally have an unrealistic perception of their efficiency and abilities while high.

  14. Erm when I worked restaurants I thought the chief sesh preshift was mandatory if you weren’t sneaking drinks.

  15. SweetCheryPI

If you come in and do the job without causing more problems than you fix, I do not care what you may have been doing in your YOU time. I’m just glad for the help.

  16. HungryMudkips

thats the secret brother, theyre ALWAYS high staffed.

  17. In college took some shrooms and stopped by the pizza place I worked in to pick up a check, they were slammed and asked if I’d help. I said I can help for maybe 20 minutes and hopped on the line, manager caught me just staring into a pepperoni pizza about 20 minutes later and she asked me what was wrong. “Oh, times up!” and I walked out into the night.

I work for a pickleball club rn and it’s a solo gig rn. I get high, put on an audiobook or some music on my Bluetooth speaker and make burgers, flatbreads, all kinds of sandwiches and charcuterie boards and it has been so amazing. I’m working on studying to take the comp tia A+ to get out of the industry and this job is making it possible. I love you pickle ball job. We are always high staffed when I’m around.

  19. Legal-Airport5971

Some of the most competent coworkers I’ve ever had would sit in the back of the kitchen, door open, dabbing and blowing the smoke out into the alley, then help get through the lunch rush no problem

  20. littlemuffinsparkles

Always high staffed. No one is arguing. And I can push out hella tickets whilst stoned.

  21. yaboyACbreezy

Personally I am going to be upset if my food was prepared by some lame ass normies. I celebrate the cool kitchens

  22. dshmitemon14

Got called in to cover a sauté shift while on mushrooms. Think it’s the best I’ve ever performed on the line in my life!

  23. rambored89

Idk what it’s like to work with chefs that aren’t always stoned

  24. Roboticpoultry

Me today but at he car dealership I work for and became my knees hurt. I’ve been out of the kitchen for about 6 years now

  25. BlindWalnut

    I just won’t go in.

” Sorry boss, had a few drinks and not comfortable driving into work “

  26. Omnom_Omnath

Short staffed. Being high is a liability for the restaurant and a massive risk.

  27. pnfloyd1978

If they can handle the business, I could care less.
