Three months ago I posted pics of some potted tomato plants that somehow made it through winter.

Some literally said I was "the true optimist" and lets face it, the plants looked really sad.

A couple weeks after the post one of the plants went the way of the dodo, but the other refused to die, and so here's an update on that latter one.

First pic is the one I posted a while back, of the surviving plant, 3 months ago. Second pic is how it looked ten minutes ago.

And look how hardy she is! You are an optimist! One rewarded with delicious tomatoes 😜

I imagine the naysayers are in colder climates.

I’m in northern hemisphere 10A and am giving it a go this winter too!

I completely cut two back to little stumps to see what they’d do. Neither did all that well (thx to a couple tomato hornworms and powdery mildew) and aren’t likely to grow back, but nonetheless will be fun to see.

The third, a Black Beauty, is only just starting to look sad. I’m hopeful she’ll pull through!
