I grew Thai chili peppers last season and some looked like that. Not sure why they grew small than usual, but they did have a punch to it. Enjoy!

It’s really hard to say. Lots of guesses in this post, but there are a LOT of peppers that size and with that shape. We had some Italian peppers like that, dried, can crush them up to make your own crushed red pepper for pizza or anything. I couldn’t even figure out the species let alone the variety online because it varies a lot.

* they look like cayennes. i think thats what i grow. (alwas originally gifted seeds and keep it going every year for 10ish years now, hope that i have tue name right)
Ummmmm so these look a lot like a South Indian breed of chili called Kanthari, otherwise known as bird eye chili, but seems like the more like the ones my grandparents grew.

This looks a lot like the chilis I had at a Brazilian restaurant which I think are called Malagueta peppers, very spicy small red chilis. The ones they serve were either pickled or dehydrated and were under an inch long each.
These don’t really look like Thai chili / birds eye to me it’s kind of odd to be ripe enough to be red and also be so small and straight.

Im pretty sure that’s bird eye chillies. Damn hot!!!

Those peppers are amazing! I remember breaking one up with a knife up against the thumb of my other hand. The dish made my nose burn. Rubbing my nose made my eyes water so I wiped them. As many have already figured it out, I’ll be brief…WOW!!! Talk about burning!! I never did that again, especially now that I only have one arm…
