Omg this is so true i usually use my chemex for a while and then i use my aeropress for a while, and i always feel like i’m neglecting the other one.

My Chemex was my main brewer for several years. Over time, the collar and strings got gross. The cost to order new ones was almost as much as a new Chemex. meanwhile, we moved into a new apartment with not as much storage. I decided to say goodbye to my Chemex for these reasons.

I know it’s hyped, but I’ve seen very little reason to use anything other than my v60 switch. As an immersion brewer it is cleaner and more consistent than my aeropress. I can also use it as a regular v60 for percolation brewing or multiple servings. You can switch out the filter for different papers or metal or cloth. Overall it’s extremely versatile and elegant brewer
I daily drove an AP for almost a decade so it did feel like cheating at first

I think a v60 just makes a coffee that I enjoy the most, so no.

Funny. I have almost every brewing style toy (no siphon(yet!)). And make my coffee most days in a Mr. Coffee. My Chemex and Espresso machine must be weeping.

i just hate cleaning my french press lol

Espresso machine took over since I got it earlier this year. I love iced espresso and it’s also just very convenient.

Lol. I use my Moccamaster daily. Mid afternoon it’s a toss up usually between moka pot or Aeropress. I have a Chemex as well but am too impatient. It probably makes the best cup out of the 4 though.

Reminds me I haven’t touched (any of my) moka pot(s) for ages…..

Moka pot has been my favorite for the last two years, but I try to rotate between aeropress, french press and the moka to not “neglect” any for too long.
