Anyone else's 7 qt crockpot does this? See the slight gap between the insert and the base. It's been fine for me so far, but should I look into replacing it? Any safety issues to be concerned about?

never seen this happen before, but I wouldn’t chance it and just reach out to the brand via email and ask if they’d replace it. it seems like it could heat unevenly and potentially cause the lid to shatter

It came like that?? Or this happened over time somehow?

No, my 7qt crockpot absolutely doesn’t do that.

Looks like a defect. I’ve used various brands over the last 3 decades and I have NEVER seen this before

I just got the same one in a size bigger. Does it still do that when you clip the lid closed? I thought mine was kinda wonky until I realized the clips force the bowl and lid down which seems to form a better seal.

Someone in QC is sleeping on the job. Take it back.

You bought a crackpot. Similar. But different

My lid has a slight wobble in relation to the ceramic which I assume is a manufacturing defect. (Different model from Wallyworld 3-4 years ago.)

This is either the wrong insert for the base or the ceramic insert was made really wrong.

Yeah, there is a definite flaw with that pot. You need to get a new one cause that shouldn’t happen. That is a catastrophic failure.

Thanks all! I have emailed the company, I’ve had it for almost a year so I’m not sure they’ll do anything, but I’ll replace it myself if they don’t.
