Hi there collardgrain. Just a quick reminder of the [subreddit rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/foodporn/about/rules/).

Rule 1: As this is a Food Photography forum, the emphasis on submissions posted here must be on presentation. Images must be high quality, with most or all of the food in focus (blurring for artistic purposes is allowed, but must be minimal). The food named in the title must be the focus of the shot. The food must be plated neatly. The lighting within the photo should illuminate the food sufficiently that we are able to see what you are trying to show us. There should be no cutlery visible in the image.

Submissions which break any of the rules will be removed.

Yo… I’m just curious, what the actual fuck?

  3. Cleercutter

What uh, what’s that stuff on top? Parmesan?

  4. Visual-Reception-139

Did you just sprinkle the pine nuts on top? Like a garnish?

  5. FlappyTurdBurglar

I prefer my food to not look like some sort of biological growth is happening on it.

Foodporn because it looks like the chef had a good time with it.

I’m sorry my dude but your dish looks like you left it out on the counter for five weeks next to an open window.

  8. Old_Location_7036

Bro forgot about it in the oven for about a week

I thought this was a bowl of magic mushrooms with mold growing on them. Sorry, but this doesn’t look appetizing at all.

Humm. Sir? Lady? Can I have some? It looks so good.

  11. Sugary_skull

I’m sorry, but it looks like it’s topped with spider web.

  12. This probably looked really good like 14 weeks ago when it was made

  13. fivefeetofawkward

With all due respect, what the actual fuck?

Unless you’re going for a full blanket of cheese, use the microplane to get cheese fine enough to really emulsion into the sauce. Otherwise a courser cheese grater is good for the gramworthy foodporn pic.

I would try it. I love pasta.

Has nobody here EVER seen grated parm like this? It’s extremely common where I am, even in Italian restaurants.
