These giant lazy meatballs are not only beautiful, but have a taste and texture virtually identical to ones made using the more time-consuming, classical method. You’ll be surprised that meatballs this tender and flavorful were done using such an easy, simple method. Enjoy!

Correction! The milk/bread mixture is called a panade, not a slurry! Please adjust your notes.
Oh I like the two cold forks idea. I will use that when I make meatloaf this week.
I like fontina cheese
Well, that was delicious! The whole family enjoyed it very much!
Great!
delicious
Damp hands make round balls. Everyone knows the rules.
Ok folks, here is my lazy recipe: Step one, grow your own parsley. LMAO.
OMG looks so delicious 😋
I like these short cut recipes that taste great, but take less effort and time. Thanks!
These were so delicious and easy. I made them with Marcella Hazan’s tomato sauce and linguine, so cook time for the meatballs lined up perfect with the sauce. This is my go to for meatballs now.
I would put those in a big meatball sandwich with toasted italian bread.
so….meatloaf?
As much as I love Monterey Jack cheese, the Italian and me so won't allow it. Use a slice of fresh mozzarella instead, then after baking grate some Parmesan Reggiano or pecorino Romano. There's your flavor.
I'm definitely making these this weekend. I'm going to create a meatball sandwich on toasted garlic bread, which is something I like to order for lunch at our local Italian restaurant.
Made these tonight and they were so good.
Used dried-minced garlic/onion instead of the powders.
Also thinking of adding garlic and onion better than bullion to the panade
I would have added some fennel seeds too.
giant lazy meatballs. that does SO not sound an absolutely trashy 80s b-horror flick. nope.
I love that you still make content! I think I made something of yours almost 10 years ago 🙂
Make these, they are fantastic! I did have white bread I used to sub rolls…
Oh so good.
Giant meatballs for a sandwich. Mmmmmm mmmm delicious.
Or you can make it into one long rectangle and have it as a meat loaf which is what we do. Same beautiful taste.
1:25 is it an industry standard in cooking shows to always use too small a bowl???🤣
panade not slurry
“Damp hands make smooth balls” 💀
Are you retardant?? Can’t you talk normally??!! WTFALREADY
Remember: Sweaty hands make tough balls
Get in there with hands and really mix it

Strange that he has basically the same recipe? Did he copy you? Strange it was also posted shortly after yours? Hmmmm
Do what you say or do what you do? This is not the first video where you've said to put something in the center of the oven — but then proceeded to put the food on a rack positioned near the top of the oven.
These look fun! I'd love to see Vincenzo's take on some of your Italian recipes.
I made this , plus a few necessary changes. I made 6 meatballs, this is a better size for me. These are wonderful.
Giant meatball sub! 🤤❤
What is the best way to reheat leftovers??
This is not a giant meatball; it is typical for a family that would combing leftover ingredients. A meatball is the meal not the addition to a meal.
CHEF JOHN….. PLEASE…. a plate or pot lid will do the job of that plastic wrap. These look good and so easy and we all need more meatballs in our lives. Cheers from Oz!
This guys voice is so annoying.
Made these—absurdly easy and delicious! An excellent recipe for sharing with friends/family without freaking out. ❤ Chef John rocks!
