Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day and enjoying healthy and delicious foods.
I’ve returned to my weight loss journey. I lost over 40 kilograms in a year and a half but gained back 15 kilograms. I have a question and a bit of confusion: can consuming too much protein harm my body? Generally, the proteins I consume come from food without any whey protein or supplement additions. I need advice on whether I should reduce my protein intake.
As for carbohydrates and calories, I am currently physically inactive, so I’ve reduced my calorie intake to around 1500–1800 and have also lowered my carbohydrate intake since I’m not engaging in any physical activities other than short walks averaging 5 km per day.

No, even CKD patients are now advised to eat more protein
Maybe if you have some rare polymorphism it could be a bad thing
More than protein itself being harmful in excess, I would worry that you’re displacing healthy food groups in favor of only protein-rich foods. E.g. fruit, legumes, nuts, etc.
