Each layer of this trifle tastes like Christmas. Eggnog pudding and homemade cranberry sauce are layered between French vanilla cake and fluffy whipped cream. The mixture of flavors and colors is vibrant and fun. It’s not your run-of-the-mill Christmas dessert, but your family will love the creamy fresh taste of this trifle.
Ingredients
1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients per package
1 tsp almond extract
1 bag whole cranberries, fresh or frozen
1 md orange
1 qt heavy cream, whipped
sugar, to taste
1 box instant vanilla pudding (6 oz)
3 c eggnog
