I have learned so much from this group and I’m so happy to have finally made my first loaf! Is she pretty? No. Gonna win an award? Also,no. But was it delicious? Absolutely.
I found a recipe I followed on IG:
500g Bread Flour
325g filtered water
10g salt
110g starter
I mixed my ingredients and let it rest for about 10 minutes then performed stretch and folds.
Roughly every hour I did stretch and folds until I went to bed. My house runs cold, about 68 and probably more on the Humid side. I allowed my loaf to proof overnight on my counter rather than the fridge, but after about 9 hours it doubled and was nice and bubbly. I stretched it, and wrapped it up nicely in the basket and let it rest for about 3 hours then baked.
500 covered in a Dutch oven for 15 min. then 450 for another 20ish minutes uncovered.
Any suggestions?
