I moved lettuce indoors for winter and after a week i’ve noticed fuzz on the leaves. Should I remove the affected leaves, or even the whole plant? I assume it is from overwatering but not sure.

Thanks!

Looks like powdery mildew which is caused by water on the leaves and not enough air movement. The spores can be spread by touch or from tools like pruners (so best to use isopropyl alcohol to clean after) or even in the air by moving a leaf after pruning.

Depending on the size of your plants you might have a hard time fighting this. I would definitely isolate the affected plants carefully so you don’t spread spores and carefully prune what you can.

There are some remedies some ppl recommend like milk spray, vinegar spray or sulphur but I haven’t had luck with them. Best way is to avoid attracting it from the start by having good air movement and not getting the leaves wet.
