Homemade strained vegan yogurt sauce made from yogurt, fresh garlic, salt and some olive oil if yours is a little too strained and thick like mine was atop vegan ground beef substitute cooked with onions, paprika, cumin, pepper and some tomato paste served on pasta of your choice and drizzled with a butter sauce made with tomato paste and lots of paprika, dried mint, and pepper flakes. Garnish with chopped parsley.
It’s currently going kind of viral on TikTok after an influencer shared a video of her mother making the dish and it’s honestly so good. Very easy to make vegan and I have so much yogurt, it’s my favorite thing to have around right now because it has so many applications.

To make, I was riffing off the [original video](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYxLRBG2/) and tips from [this other video](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYxLdr67/), but for a website link searching any current “Turkish pasta” will have a transcribed recipe of the original linked video like [this one here](https://thishealthytable.com/blog/turkish-pasta/). I didn’t use fresh tomatoes and instead used tomato paste in my butter sauce. I also added more cumin in addition to the small amount of curry powder the viral version of the recipe calls for.
The vegan swaps I used were soy yogurt I made in the instant pot that I strained overnight to make thicker like a Greek yogurt. Trader Joe’s beefless ground beef (lentils, chickpea, other ground beef substitutes would work as well). And Earth Balance butter sticks!
