Isn't it beautiful? My dough was way too wet and sticky and wouldn't hold it's shape. I followed Brian Lagerstroms tutorial on YouTube https://youtu.be/VEtU4Co08yY?si=icIqY8O5Pvl9qpmL

My condolences. But thank you for sharing!

It kind of looks like a gingerbread cookie hehehe

  3. peperespecter

I asked my husband “what is this” after I had a chuckle myself, “it looks like a piece of poo”

Well, you got the frisbee. Others get the hockey puck or the brick.

A tip when trying bread recipes: Measure your water and save a little bit of it for later. You can add it later if the dough feels too tough. If it’s too wet to begin with, it’s miserable to handle. Everyone’s flour is different, it won’t behave the same way.

Yeahhhh thats tough, accidentally baking a brick (or two, or three, in my case) is kind of a rite of passage for bread bakers lol

Now that you’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s all down hill from here.

  7. kabibiiiiiii

Haha more like giant sourdough cookie? 🤣

  8. BadNewsBaz

Lovely Pancake you’ve made there 😅 Can always add some IDY to the batch if the starter is slow. That being said overproof3d looks the same

Hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day! It’s a journey, you’ll find your stride 🙂

How wet was the dough? Mines just proving in the fridge but it’s also really wet and I’m worried it will do the same. Maybe I should bake it in a loaf tin just in case?

  13. Forbidden cookie. Now bake a pizookie to match!

Good news is you can use it as a weapon if someone breaks into your home 🤣🤣

Congratulations! We’ve all been there. This is a right of passage. I recommend determining if your starter is active enough among other things. In average-to-warm conditions it should be able to double in around 3-4 hours.
