Is it still too early to pick these to ripen inside?
Want to pick these early so the birds don’t eat them but unsure when I should

i think so. but why wouldn’t you let them ripen outside?

You can put them in a box (not air tight) in a warm place with a banana or two.
Ripening is a process stimulated by ethylene, which acts as a hormone. Ripening bananas release ethylene and this will help the tomatoes to start the process, then produce their own ethylene too.

* Seethe bulge in the stem right here? Once that is there the growth in size is complete and you can remove it from the vine.
